Conquerable Station Dock Bug
There's a bug with the king of the hill style conquerable station dock allowing someone to capture the dock instantly. It relates to the TempKOS with Unaligned bug where you can shoot at a station guard or turret of a station you have keys to and have them shoot at you.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Shoot at a turret/guard at a station you have keys to, you now have tempKOS with unaligned you can't dock with the station.
2. During countdown, you can get into position in the dock. It will say "you are in position" and countdown for 30 seconds, but at the end it will say "You are not permitted to dock"
3. Anybody can now capture the dock instantly just by flying into it as long as they don't have tempKOS with Unaligned.

Other issue somewhat related. Conq Station gaurds and turrets should show as friendly (green) on radar if you have a valid key to the station and have not fired on them.

As for the other problems, I fixed the part where it attempts to dock you after 30 seconds if you have temp kos. It was also clearing the 30 second requirement at that same time so now it doesn't clear it if you cannot dock.
The part where you get temp kos by shooting the station defense or turrets is not going to be removed because of the possibility of a keyholder destroying the turrets and recapturing the station by themselves with no consequences.

The situation now though is really terrible. Could I suggest that you add a threshold for tempKOS with unaligned. For instance instead of just any tiny amount of splash damage you have to actually do 3,000 points of damage before you are deemed tempKOS with them.
This always happens when you hit a station guard accidentally because hes obstructing you from your target or you hit an enemy who is standing next to a station guard or turret with an AOE weapon such as a flare and you get tempKOS and you have to go and explode yourself to continue defending.

Big talk; I saw you exploding yourself today in an EC-89 to clear tempKOS and you were using rockets in the conquerable stations.
It's a problem. There is a difference between attempting to undermine the current station lords and actually helping the current station lords by defending the station. If you have an owner key I don't understand why they should ever shoot you. You can easily undermine them by giving owner keys out to enemies, why is that worse than having people be able to conquer the station without being shot if they are untrustworthy.

Huh? I didn't have TempKOS once yesterday. I was going back to my home station to get a better ship.

Not nearly as much as you're making it out to be. The exploit that you just mentioned makes TempKOS largely irrelevant is much more of a problem.
Honestly, I think the 15 minute TempKOS on conquerable stations makes sense for reasons Ray already stated. It also allows the attacking team to use careless defenders' missiles and rockets against them to get an edge in a close battle.

Because if someone gives away keys to your enemies, you know the key is compromised. If they wait until everyone logs off and just quietly take the station without being shot at by repeatedly spamming the turrets with missiles from the station's own docking bay, there's no way for any other keyholder to know that there's someone untrustworthy on the key at all.

Because if someone gives away keys to your enemies, you know the key is compromised. If they wait until everyone logs off and just quietly take the station without being shot at by repeatedly spamming the turrets with missiles from the station's own docking bay, there's no way for any other keyholder to know that there's someone untrustworthy on the key at all.

Actually, I did just think of one situation where this is silly: Collisions.
I don't think merely bumping (or being run into by) a turret or guard should trigger this. Any amount of weapons fire definitely should trigger TempKOS, but having a numbskull guard crash into you or glancing off a turret should not. This is a problem with NPCs in general though (especially Traffic2)
