Trident weapon lock & targeting
Targeting a trident, works fine, until the pilot exits, then target drops. Weapons like swarms, on their way to the trident, loose their lock when the pilot exits the trident.
I understand lock being lost when the character is targeted and enters a trident or a station, but the lock on a trident should not be lost when the pilot exits or enters, it should stay on the trident.
Exiting and entering the trident is now used as a defensive technique. This should not work this way.

Bump! This bug is used by both sides in just about every Trident fight, and is getting kind of annoying for everyone. Can we please get an update on progress towards a fix? (if there has been such an update I apologize and would sincerely appreciate a link :)
Let's not forget that it also makes NPCs stop attacking because they lose their target. People use this to great effect to just mow over conquerable station turrets taking minimal damage.
Aye, there are only very specific and expensive NPCs that will continue to attack. Perhaps a solution to the NPC portion of the problem is to make these particular NPCs more available and in greater numbers and durations.
If this is not going to change soon I'll need to practice using it, to achieve parity.
