If it is in fact a bug, I apologize for accusing someone of cheating. However, if that person knows how to recreate it I encourage them to report it ASAP. In addition to this bug, I've experienced problems in sector 9 where my shots didn't cause any damage to the enemy. This has happened to me at least three times now in the past few days. Occasionally the enemy will get temporary invincibility where the enemy can harm you but you can't harm them.

The shots thing happens everywhere, but is more noticeable in s9 because it's more populated. It's also unrelated to this bug. It's not a hack.

There's a bug that allows a player to create a red or blue character that appears gold, and is really red, or blue.

IE- I went and made a blue character using this method, it appears to me as gold the very first time I log in, but if i warp, dock, or get destroyed, it goes back to blue, (to me) This character appears as gold to everyone, yet can attack and destroy golds. Gold's cant harm it, as their client think's it's on their team. Blue's cant hurt it, because My client thinks I'm on their team. That leaves red. Red's are the only nation that can hurt this player.

A few strange things- you can still ram blue people to death, but not use weapons fire on them, your mines do no damage to either gold or blue, (waiting confirm) and your chat text appears to be blue, or whatever color your character is SUPPOSED to be. I'm not going to tell anyone how to use this exploit, so don't even bother asking. One other member of the community knows how to use it, we figured it out together, and it's up to him if he wants to be known. I'll be happy to demonstrate the bug's effects to anyone that wants to see it, but I'm not going to go on a gold killing spree. I intend to tell the dev's how to use it in IRC or Ingame. Any questions will be awnsered, if I know how.

I noticed it, too, in sector 9. No clue how to do it, but it really was aggravating when a blue/gold would shoot me up and I couldn't do anything to 'em. (The char was "Revenge of the Bountybot!!!")

Hmm...funny, cause the bug doesnt allow you to damage blues.....and you werent gold...edit?

SirCamps, that same character was doing it to me too. Were you on in that same day or did this happen recently? "The Revenge of the BountyBot" killed me twice with this bug. At first I thought he was testing it out and I excused it. But now that I see he has attacked you also, it's apparent that he's trying to aggravate other people and should be punished for it. Be sure to save your logs too, if this is in fact a separate incident from what I had reported earlier.

I can verify this. I used one bugged character to head to s9 (in a bus) and verify that I appeared as gold. Once it was confirmed, I told everyone who I was.
