Going off of Addon scans here, but it seems like the NPC created to control your ship when you undock doesn't have your large port addon equipped.

Might seem like an inconsequential detail, except if this factors in to whether or not the item drops when its destroyed. Recovering a TU mine launcher is worth it if you can...
