Static queen shields returning too fast
The normal 5 minute delay for shields is about 2 -3 minutes and not nearly enough time to get a ship and return. Also there have been some comments on 100 about cargo timing out in less then 5 minutes...
Could you check on the static queen shields and maybe add a bit of time ?

The dropout period of static queen shields has always been two minutes, and that is enough time to get to a station and return again.
Yeah different capships have different recharge times. Queens are the fastest.
They are a bit crazy.
sorry 2 minutes is way too short to jump to a station and get back for most players....
Any loading issues at all will keep you from getting back in time.

Static queens can be deshielded by two swarms and two gems on a rag. Bring an HX on your third small port.
Why should queens be solo-able. If the rewards for duoing a queen are inadequate that's the real problem, not the difficulty.
Nah, the delay is fine. Fly faster, or bring a buddy, or bring a gun. I think I've only had problems with shield respawn three times ever.
Load a plasma hx on the rag. If you can't drop them with 2 gems + 2 chaos....the problem is not the shield respawn time.
Actually I can drop them with a centaur.... Not the point.
The AVERAGE player should be able to return to the station and get back before the shield returns.

Why should the average player be able to to do that? Sure an experienced player can, but if we're talking about newbies or slowpokes, queens are big targets and this is a multiplayer game. Bring a newbie along and tell them "Keep shooting that big bot until I get back! You'll get tons of XP."

Well, according to your own statement, it sounds like the average player is doing just fine! :P
Seriously though, define "average player". Basic navigation and piloting isn't some advanced skill that takes years to develop. I killed my first queens before I had even installed any plugins besides maybe targetless and TCS. I definitely didn't have AutoRR or SLM or anything like that to make things faster.
Anyway, a game that doesn't challenge people to grow is not a game that is worth playing.

Why bother switching ships at all? Either bring the tools for the job, or don't do the job. If I want to haul product, I use a trade ship. If I want to queen, I grab a rag. If I want to fight, I grab a fighter.
queens need a fix to their absolutely fucking ridiculous engines before anything, they accelerate faster than rags for fucks sake.
It's also possible to bring gauss or a neut on that slot, plasma hx is not required.
HX is preferred because you can shoot 800m.
/me shrugs
I usually use a neut afterwards, so meh.

HX are also more efficient, meaning you actually get more DPS out of an HX than you do from an N2, if you're firing continuously and occasionally turboing.
This all just gets back to my old complaint. I don't believe that Queens should be soloable. Hell, I don't even think they should be killable with two people. Along a similar line of thinking, I don't think a Leviathan should be killable with less than two groups of people. The difficulties are too skewed in favor of players, and the rewards don't match up either.
you can drop with two swarm three hx and like other say two swarm and two gem. just bring a laser weapon
