Stygian Furie

Jan 25, 2013 Irbis link
So, I've just built some Stygian Furies, and launched the mission to make one undock and follow me.

I undocked, and after a few minutes I went back to the station and clicked on "Recall" in the mission log, the Furie docked but the mission was not completed, it was till saying "Valent A-3.... is returning to base". The only option was to abort, so I clicked on abort.... and the Furie vanished, the hangar count went down by 1.

I launched another Furie, this time I clicked "Recall" when I was still undocked, but the same thing happened: the mission was still active after the Furie docked, I had to click on "abort" and I lost the Furie.

So, within a few minutes after building these Furies they are already lost.... <sigh>....
Did I miss something?

That's definitely not supposed to happen.

A sad turn of events. It might be that you have to launch and leave the sector to get a successful recall? Phaserlight might be able to anwer this...

Also if devs are revisiting furie behavior while fixing this: Currently if you have more than 1 out and one dies, they all explode. That seems unfair, and makes launching 2 or 3 unadvisable.

The Recall takes 1 minute... if you abort before that minute is up, you will lose the Furie.

I probably should make that clearer in the mission log.

I see...
Yes it should be added in the mission log because I really couldn't guess that. Oh well.... thanks for your answer!

Here's to a future PCC upgrade making furies useful!

Also, I once tested a stygian furie. So it was following me around. Then, when it touched the station wall, it magically blew up. And it was at 100%.

Was that recently? Collision damage was nerfed, afaik. Sounds like a wingbug common to Vultures, also.
