I have learned the power of the gods

I have learned a simple technique to penetrate solid matter and exist inside asteroids undetectable to all but the most astute of pilots. I imagine I could also use this technique to completely bork conquerable station conquering (i.e. get all the turrets to fire at you inside an asteroid) and a number of other game obliterating exploits such as killing people from inside an asteroid and of course setting up some good old fashioned spotter bots where nobody can kill them.

Also today someone was trying to troll me with avalons by exploding them on an asteroid and killing us both, I laughed and obliterated him as his avalons floated harmlessly through the asteroids. Foolish smurf lovers.

So.. how on earth did you manage to bork this up guys?

how can they fix it unless you say how you do it?

because they have made a recent change to the mesh system and they need to go back over the code for it. An avalon went randomly through an asteroid, that's not something that anyone can replicate following a normal procedure, but it also never happened before.

Rockets can occasionally go through station parts and asteroids if they are fired at an angle from a ship that is strafing, I believe. When a ship is inside "solid" objects, its rockets and missiles will often penetrate the border and fly freely outside, but other projectiles fired from it (energy-based weapons) will not.

Flying into asteroids and station parts is not something new, and I don't believe it's easy to fix either. There are at least a couple different methods for ending up (accidentally or otherwise) inside such geometry.

Yes my Avalon went straight through an asteroid allowing TRS to live. What gives?

westacular shot 4 avalons at c12 today and two of them went straight through. It's a little bit ridiculous
