having repeated situations of flying straight through crates and them not being picked up... this never happened until the crate asset update

I can also confirm that. Sometimes twice or three times pass is needed to pick up an item. All the previous passes which didn't end with a pickup were direct flythroughs.

Yeah, I noticed this too. I thought they were about the same size, but it's really a lot harder to hit them now with a smaller ship like an Atlas or Vulture.

This was happening to me a lot even before the crate update.

I had it a lot before the update but assumed it was server lag....
