Windows Updater Doesn't Time Out
The primary update server went down (is down at the time of this post) and for some reason, the windows updater doesn't time out and go to the second update server. Arf's linux install timed out and switched servers. My connection and firewall settings were no different than when I'd logged in an hour previously.
Running win7, winsock.log shows:
[11/25/12 14:15:39] .\event.cpp:(118): WSAEINVAL: The timeout value is not valid, or all three descriptor parameters were NULL.
Fix the timeout value please. ;)

Thanks for the report.
We're working on the problem.
That error message happens when you press cancel and doesn't have to do with the problem.
We switched the DNS to have update1 point to update2 but it may take some time to propagate through.
