I get this message randomly, sometimes every 5-10 minutes sometimes after hours of play. I have forwarded the port in my router and allowed VO through my firewall. I've lost 7 ships so far to this and had to redo one training mission around 10 times. I love this game and I signed up the first day I played it but this problem is only going to get more expensive as my ships do and I can see it being a deal breaker. Please help!

What OS and architecture are you running? There was some new code introduced initially on the Linux x86-64 platform which could possibly contribute to your problem. If you're not using the 64-bit client on Linux, then I don't know.

Win7 64 bit. I'm on dsl which can be a bit sketchy but I don't think it's my connection. I have no lag while I'm playing, just the random disconnects. I have my graphics on Highest setting so I was thinking maybe that could be part of it, trying to get too much from the server at once, but I don't know.

Graphics are all client-side. No images are transmitted over the network except as part of a patch before the game starts.

Hmm, well I'm at around 12 ships lost now. It's quite frustrating to be almost done with a long mission and have to restart and repurchase my ship because of this connection loss. If anyone has any ideas please help me.
