How common is this?

I get frequent bouts of often lethal lag, and have heard others mention it too. Anyone else got this?

every time i open the mission log thing i get it and i've had some other lags lately too

Maybe too many people are streaming the Olympics, causing the internet to get slow?
There's nothing on our servers that has changed.

There's a tool called MTR that might be useful in determining where the lag is coming from. It's like a combination of ping and traceroute rolled into one program.
