Rail Guns took over reticle
I advanced enough to buy Rail Guns. But when I tried them, I got a nasty surprise...
Configuration: Warthog with a Plasma Dev2 (Large Port, Primary Trigger) and Rail Gun (Small Port, Secondary Trigger). Yes, I verified that. A couple of times.
But when I target a hive bot, the reticle works for the Rails and not the Plasma. When it turns yellow
I can hit with the rail shot, but never with the plasma ball.
I doubt that this is the expected behaviour, because I didn't expected it :)
How can I fix that?
Windows 7 Home Premium (if that information is important)

The leadoff reticle is always tied to the first weapon in the primary weapon group. Railguns have a much higher velocity than Plasma Devs so, depending upon the range you're firing from and whether your target is moving, this is not necessarily unexpected behavior.
But the reticle is tied to the rails, which are the second weapon group. Which is unexpected.
I played long enough to know the difference. And it is a bug.

Naw cause when we told you this yesterday on 100 you didnt even know what weapons groups were so odds are the rails are still primary
Either way, there is a plugin called TCS that is really a collection of plugins, one of which is called Multiaim and creates multiple target reticules, one per weapon. Get that, and using multiple weapons becomes much less annoying.
Why that isn't an official option, I don't know. To the suggestions forum!
(Not saying any bugs here don't need to be fixed, of course.)

I thought multiaim was separate from TCS. I have an independent version.
It used to be separate. The newest TCS includes it.
TCS was the reason for that, after I removed it the behavior was back to normal.
If you are ever experiencing odd behavior, remember to always remove all plugins and see if it persists. The devs don't support clients modified by plugins. They will ask you to remove the plugins and see if the problem is still there.
Do you have both weapons configured in Group 1? The game randomly (well, not really, but for all intents and purposes it's unpredictable) chooses a weapon in Group 1 to use for the leadoff reticle.
I suppose there should be an option to select which weapon to use instead of it being unpredictable.
By unpredictable, I mean it uses the lua pairs() function which orders the entries based on it's internal memory representation of the list, which is not always predictable.

I tried the same loadout (Warthog/PlasmaDev2/Rail) with your group settings (Large port primary/Small port secondary) and had no problems hitting bots with the plasma ball or the rail gun. I did have to be really close though, since the plasmas don't have much range (600m) and they are slow so bots can dodge them easily.
