Cargo lost in Ion Storm

Aug 29, 2011 Mick the Mighty link
Twice today, shortly after midnight, and again a little after 6 in the morning, I was moving from Odia M14 to Sedina D14, and got caught in an Ion Storm. In both cases I left the Odia M14 station with my hull full of cargo, and arrived at the Sedina D14 with empty hulls.

I have not jettisoned anything, and the only thing I had to do with the keyboard with disable turbo mode so I could make course corrections., and the 'w' and 's' buttons when leaving and arriving at the stations, respectively. The actual course corrections where done using my track ball, and that was just the basic stuff of moving the ball around.

I am using Linux Mint 11 on a quad core AMD with 8GB of RAM (only the first 1GB seems to be used). If you need any more information please let me know.

Do you have the plugin M.I.A.D. or some other plugin that auto-jettison your cargo?

I do, yet I had it in the disabled mode (toggled off) as I was running supplies to my home station from another location. I did not attack, nor mine, anything while in the Ion storm, so there was no items for me to acquire while in the storm.

I have InfiniTurbo set to toggle between on and off when I hit my TAB key.

Here is the sequence of events, if that helps any.

1. Leave Odia M14, hold "w" until I reach top speed, and using track ball line up with Jump Point guide
2. Hit ENTER key to jump to worm hole leading into Sedina, make course corrections using track ball, and proceed to the wormhole.
3. Hit ENTER and make jump to next system.
4. Still at full speed, without turbo, make course correction again, and head to the next jump point.
5. Hit ENTER, and get thrown into Ion Storm. A plug-in reports that it is recording the ion storm, and hostel bots have been detected.
6, Make course correction (still using track ball, and have not reduced speed). Pressed TAB key to toggle on InfiniTurbo as I stink at combat of any type.
7. Made my way to the exit point of the Ion Storm, not paying attention to cargo, as I am not trying to be killed by a bot. Hit ENTER to exit.
8. Near the station, hit TAB to toggle off InfiniTurbo, and s to start slowing down as I approach a docking bay.
9. Make adjustments, and hit ENTER to dock.

After noticing the above I was hesitant to try again, yet wanted to find out if it was a freak accident or something I could reproduce, I decided to try again, and this time I paid closer attention. I noticed at step four above I still had my cargo, Step five seems to be an exact repeat from the prior time, so I again made a hasty exit, not noticing if I still had my cargo or not. Step six, after the exit from the ion storm, I noticed no cargo - so some time between entering the storm and exiting it I lost my cargo, on two occasions. As you can see from above the closest I can to hitting the j key to jettison anything was when I would hit the ENTER key.

Are you sure you had your cargo loaded before you left?

Might want to try removing any plugins that involve cargo (MAID, etc) and see if the problem still happens.
