I encountered Dad1 at a station where he was admired and damaged him a bit but did not kill him as I didn't want to lose faction. As it worked out, though, the SF that went after me killed him. Dad1 says that his PDA said that I killed him and that he was given the faction penalty dialog but my PDA doesn't indicate that. I might have lost some faction but I'm not sure.

I tried reproducing this but was unable to. So. Nevermind.
