Linux client segfaults

Aug 06, 2011 blubvd link
While playing on linux I noticed quite a few segfaults, usually when clicking some menu item.
Haven't noticed anything like that on windows.
I'm using the 64bit version (ofc, what else :P).
If a core dump could help you, please let me know, with my connection it'll take a loooot of time to upload though :(

On a related note, the HUD is much bigger on linux, most noticable is the huge radar.

(It's so unusual to work with stripped binaries without any debug information. Feels strange :P)

Regarding your big hud, first make sure you're at the correct resolution. Once you've established that, try pressing F5 while in-flight to resize it.

1920x1080, and even tho I screwed up in that previous thread (except regarding the Abort button), I'm not that stupid... :(

About pressing F5: that made it smaller but after pressing it a few times I get an error message.

seems to happen when pressing it too often too quickly...

But segfaults are more concerning than that.
So if core-dumps are of any use to the devs, please let me know.

Ah, didn't realize you had plugins already. The clock plugin causes problems when you resize.

I can't say whether or not the core dump would help the devs. Wouldn't hurt anyway. You might want to take a look at your ~/.vendetta/errors.log file as well.

FWIW it's probably faster to use the support link on the left of the website for something like this, otherwise you'll have to wait however long it takes until one of them gets around to checking this forum.

Do you have any segfaults when running no plugins?

I'm pretty sure I had the first segfault before I knew about plugins, but I can remove them again and try...
