Wierd graphics stuff
Urza, the reason you screen is slowing down even when the cargo is not on the screen is because the station and everything in the sector is all one server. The massive amount of cargo slows down the entire server (sector) including everything in it, even when your inside the station. So that should clear things up if they haven't been already.
I thought you had a g4... Oh well...
G5? ROFL.. 2 generations above me.. G3 over here. '01 model iMac
Back int eh day of the 200 cargo Cent, i noticed some stuff.
After dropping 1000 cargo, my framerate was roughly 1.2 . Normal.
When i turned away from the cargo, my framerate was roughly 6.2. not normal.
When i docked, my framerate was about 7.5. not normal.
So what's up with this? I dont see why my framerate would suck if the cargo isn't on my screen. Especialy when i'm in the station. Anyone care to explain?
Mac OS 10.2.6
1024 megs of RAM
ATI Rage 128 pro

A g5 with a rage 128 pro? I had a rage 129 pro in 1998 here. It's a g4 tower.
Sorry for the off-topicness, but
damn... that's a nice comp.
G5?

G5?
i would expect it to cause me lag, not a decrese in frame rate.
