Border Skirmish in fogged sector

Another border skirmish has been encountered in a fogged sector. Deneb L-6

Fighter skirms and small skirms are ok, they dont lag too bad. What size was this one?

Small skirmish again in L-6. I tried jumping in twice and got dumped to the logon screen both times.

If you have a lot of roids stored in tls or other plug in stuff that needs to be loaded then you can cause a time out when your trying to jump into a super dense sector.....

You bring up a good point, and after reviewing the targetless code and the order in which events fire, I think I have a solution that drazed can use to minimize overhead during the sector load process. In this case, however, the sector seems to be just a little too dense.

I removed all of my plugins, restarted the client, and I was still disconnected from the server and returned to the logon screen. This was when there wasn't even a skirmish taking place. I had another player do the exact same thing. They removed all of their plugins and jumped into L-6 with no skirmish, and they too were disconnected from the server and returned to the logon screen.

I am running Linux and the other person was running Mac. Another player offered to test the same thing and ended up crashing to the desktop. They were running Windows 7.

Aye Guild really needs to break the sector load into several smaller pieces and do the out of range stuff in the background...or something.
