Hey,

I started a mission and then logged out. When I logged back in and launched, the HUD told me I had no mission, and it was listed as interrupted. The abort button is blanked out, so I can't seem to officially quit the mission, and it is not reappearing on the mission board of the station where I picked it up.

Any ideas? I have scanned the forums and can't seem to find it listed as a bug, although someone mentioned in the help channel that it might be. Is this a bug or is this an error that I am making (what with being new)

What mission was it?

If it was a mission that required you mining ore, that will happen and will reappear in a day or so, depending on which one it is.

It was Aurum Potestas Est, from Dau I-7, not mining, but it did involve some robots following me to a given sector.

Most missions don't like you to log out and will automatically abort. That's what the grey button means - the mission is already aborted. Give it a day and it will probably show up again.

Beware that some missions only let you fail them so many times before they stop showing up. (I don't know which ones.)

It turned up again today, no problems, was able to complete it and all worked out fine. To people in the future who this happens to - just wait out and it will reappear.
