Guild commander can demote Ltnt.

If this is true it does need fixing > http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/23945#298108

A commander should never have "total" control over a guild, and should never be able to demote ltnt.

LT's are the Commander's appointed sub-commanders, to help with managing the guild and to help with the Commander's many duties. The commander should be able to demote or promote LT's at will, in my opinion.

Are you kidding? Guild commanders can appoint lieutenants but shouldn't be able to demote them?
The only other exclusive power they have is the ability to set the MOTD.

No, I'm not kidding. It didn't used to work like this, and looking at the command to demote a ltnt, it makes no sense. If it's popped up as a *feature* sure, I'll run with that, but then why would /guild display this text.

vote [commander|council|member|lieutenant] "character name" [yes|no] - vote someone in/out of office. Only council members can do this.

Note that part about this command only working for council.

I think YOU misunderstand how guilds work.

The Lts are the commander's seconds, he should be able to dispose of them as he wishes.

The council is there to keep the commander in line, which is why he can't fire them :-)

The function for demoting lieutenants is simply in the wrong place. It DID used to work like this. Commanders can appoint and demote lieutenants as they wish, but commanders don't have any direct control over council.

Been a while since I been a CO of a guild, but I do remember having to get guide help to demote an inactive ltnt. Okay, maybe then this should be a suggestion, to like rename that command to something more appropriate and list it when /guild is typed :)
