i have no video when i try to play the game it loads then my screen goes black. i am using a e-machines 64x2 3.1ghz processor with nvidia geforce gtx 480 video card ubunta 10.04 and the latest video drivers for linux 64. it is the only game that i can not see when started just sound and a black screen saying frequency out of range. i have redun video drivers and reinstalled the game but no luck, any help would be great.

Did you download the 64-bit linux client, or the 32-bit one?

i am at a complete loss i have tried every download for Linux and no matter what i get a blank screen.

So, you downloaded the client and did this:

To install Vendetta, type sh ./vendetta-linux-x-installer.sh. You do not need to be root; install it under your usual account.

Try hitting alt-enter when the music starts playing or change windowmode in ~/.vendetta/config.ini to 1.

Maybe your display can't handle the default resolution or the game is getting some bad modes from the os.

If that works you should be able to change the change resolution under options and go back to fullscreen mode.
