I shepherded my entire escort to the destination sector. Upon all units arriving in the destination sector, I docked with the station, awaiting the availability of the next escort mission. When the mission ended, I was told that I would be paid better if I spent more time flying alongside the convoy (I flew within 1000m for all of the route except in the destination sector). Given that the destination sector is "safe", I believe that there should be no penalty for docking if all ships have reached the destination sector.

So you assume the mission is over and go dock early and then peytros or some other bastard shows up and kills everything before it docks, evades the strike force and then comes back for the cargo after temp kos is over and you wanna be paid full for sitting in the station while it all went down?

Atice isn't asking to be paid immediately upon docking. It seems reasonable to me for the player to dock once all the ships reach the destination sector and then to be paid in full once the last ship docks safely.

If the player were to dock as Atice describes and the situation CrazySpence describes were to unfold leaving at least one of the convoy ships dead in the destination sector, then the player obviously wouldn't get full pay.

truth. not to mention the player could undock and go whoop some ass if required, as given that he is still in the same sector... it's not like he's far out of reach.
