Graphics get reset after first load; Can't change after first load
Hey... Hopefully someone can help me. I downloaded the demo and was going to try it out, so I installed it, updated, ran, got all the settings how I wanted, and just left for right then. Next time I turned it on, all the graphical settings were bumped down to the lowest possible and I'm unable to change them. If I try, the game crashes. I checked the error file and it has
"[Wed Jul 14 19:50:09 2010] Can't load driver /home/user/games/installed/vendetta/drivers/gkvc.so: libfmodex64.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
I'm assuming that's the problem... Anyone know what I can do?
System Specs:
OS: Ubuntu 10.04 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
RAM: 4 Gigs DDR3
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5770
I have the proprietary drivers installed, and the graphics settings work the first time I load the game... just not after... (I uninstalled and reinstalled and it did the same thing again) Any ideas?
Edit: I did check the directory, and the files ARE there.

Nevermind, it's working now... After installing, I was running it with "vendetta" it worked when I ran it from "update.rlb" instead!
You should be running vendetta from the /home/username/bin/ directory.
Also, you need to install it as a normal user, and not sudo.

Running it as "update.rlb" is not a long term solution. The next time there is a major patch or protocol change, that will stop working.
I would make sure you have it installed the way vskye says.
