This is before and after the last update there has been incredible lag in sectors, when i'm fighting. I still fight like everything's normal, but then they start spinning as if they just cut their engine and spun off in it's inertial direction. I shoot, makes no hit. And 6 seconds later, I die from one of them.

I know I'm not the only one either. And it's not my connection. The server keeps hiccuping.

Yeah, the server is sporadically unresponsive for seconds at a time. It's really annoying.

Well, the server connection may be hiccuping, upstream of us at a significant peering point, or anywhere else. Lots of internet weather can affect a large percentage of our users, but still be.. waay beyond our control, potentially several providers away.

We have continuous graphs of the state of the server's load in various ways, and by and large the machine is very under-utilized (it has a great deal more power than it needs, as we intended). We will look at doing anything we can to reduce the possibility of contention on the server, though, just in case.
