I logged in as one of my chars after adding another 5/6 mils by capping.
As I looked at my cash, I had 7c!
I tried to buy something, and I managed!
It actuallt GAVE me money for buying weapons.
After that I undocked and started ramming roids in s2. Got money for ramming roids! 1c per 1% damage.
Then I flew to s7 to test something.
Asked someone to give me 1c.
He did it, but actually I got something like 100 billion...
I tried to give people a million, but they got only 1c.
When I got killed, my money was back to 7c.
When I issued, I got paid for buying weapons.
Then I bought some cargo and logged off.
Came back 10-15 minutes later and everything was almost normal.
The problem was that I was in s2 again with my normal amout of money...
Weeeeeeeeird.

As I now recall, I didn't get 1c per 1% dmg all the time, but I did get money for ramming roids.

I always have weird bugs.
Maybe it was a bad database sync or something?

Wow, that's the strangest thing I've heard of. Sounds more like a problem with encoding/decoding network packets. I... have no idea how that's possible. It could also have had something to do with a database screwup, as we had to restart one of our database mirrors. *shrug* that doesn't explain the money-for-damage thing at all.

What computer/OS do you have?

Linux Gentoo on P4 1.3 Ghz.
Oh, forgot, the jump gates were also abit screwy.
Jumped from 9 to 7 and ended up warping for 7 to 9.
Bah, so many things I forgot. The bots didn't shoot back at me. None of them. Tested in s8.

Jumpgates have been really screwy lately (esp 14 into 8), so I doubt that has to do with you.
