Used to be you got a bounty for kills in nation space. Tonight I got one for killing a guy at D14. Is that how it's meant to work? I mean, I'm fine with it, but it doesn't make sense that you get bountied for killing in grey.

Follow up: The bounty appears to be applied to all of my characters. :/

No idea. I got collected while I was defending/attacking the station.

Potentially I guess, everyone knows who all my characters are. UPDATE: It looks like it's only applied to two of my characters, and they are both pirates so they could be separate bounties. However, one of the characters with a bounty hasn't been played in several months.

Mainly I think it's probably a bug since it's obviously not working as expected.

Well, I don't know if this could help, but I have an idea. When the system was brought back, Most people auto-recieved bounties from past exploits (including me). Perhaps this same character you havent played in several months also participated in some form of attack in nation space, then perhaps it gained the bounty from that. Although, it would raise a question of how long the devs have been tracking this info
(or whether it was ever removed in the first place).

yes chaos. many characters had a bounty as soon as the bounty system was *reactivated*

also, i think all kills in any monitored space are recorded. not just those in nation space

Apparently we've been tracking the info all along, but just reenabled the code that used the info. We didn't clear out that info.

Bounties are currently universe-wide and yes, I think they should not be applied in grey-space.
(EDIT) well, actually, just not applied in unmonitored space.

They are not applied to all characters of an account.
