Turrets multiplying splash damage
Yep. Standard behemoths with their 3 extra turrets now take 4x normal damage from weapons with splash large enough to hit all of them. Atlases take 2x damage as well. This happens ONLY on player-operated ships, and should be fixed. (Try firing a jackhammer at a player's standard moth, up to 1/2 of the armor will be gone in a flash)

It should be fixed, yes.
I personally classify this bug as game breaking. Therefore.. *bump*
Though, it is hilarious to see a moth vaporize itself with its own proxmines.

I think each turret is draining the health of the ship plus the ship itself is draining health. That would add up to 4x. Or, the splash damage kills the turrets, causing them to explode and the explosion is killing the ship. Hmm. That's an interesting one.
I've seen this. A single pair of sunnies drops Behemoth MK1 health down to half. And no, ray, player turrets don't die and it's only happening with player ships. I'd say just let player turrets take separate damage from their respective ships/make them invincible until the host ship dies. Having the turrets shield a ship from energy in a small hard-to-accidentally-hit area isn't as bad as what this is currently doing.
This one's definitely a game breaker.

make them invincible until the host ship dies.
No no no that's a horrible idea. Any behavior of turrets on player-controlled ships that is different than the behavior on NPC ships is a bug. Make them work exactly the same.

Anything that's the fastest and easiest way to fix this should be done first, this is really game breaking. Btw they're already invincible until the host ship dies. Spending time to add a feature while doing this would be like changing your oil while life support needs to be turned on.
Yes, we're working on a solution. I know exactly what the problem is, though. The current solution is to continue with the invincible turrets and make sure the damage stays at 1x.
I dunno, I kinda like this one staying borked...

Yeah, killing an Atlas X with 2x sunnies rocks, leave it alone, them fast bastards deserve to die if you cop em, not game breaking at all!
