I took this mission this evening, and at one point decided I should probably repair, so I flew up to the Trident and tried to dock. Unfortunately, I received the message "You're not allowed onto this ship." Because of this, I eventually died, failing the mission and receiving a faction penalty. Because the mission itself states that I should be able to dock with the Trident, and everyone else agreed, this seems to be a bug.

I took the mission from Dau K-10, and I have TPG POS but UIT Neutral standing, if that means anything. I'm leery to retake it and waste another of my tries if I will still be unable to dock, and thus at a severe disadvantage.

Offhand do you remember what alignment the trident was?

Unfortunately I do not remember. However, if you take the mission from TPG, it spawns a UIT Trident, and you can't dock with it because your standing is too low, I would still consider that a bug.

yes but there is a bug that spawns unaligned npcs in unaligned sectors. The trident may have been unaligned and possibly hostile.

The problem is that the UIT ship won't let on anyone with less than 'Liked' UIT faction standing. So having 'Neutral' prevented you from docking. If the mission says you can dock, then that's a bug. There's currently no way for a mission to allow someone who normally can't dock to dock.

No, it's up to the mission to handle that issue. The mission should only be available to players who can dock to the capship already.

Well, I took the mission from a TPG station, and it apparently spawned a UIT Trident. I don't know whether I'm offered the mission at UIT stations or not, I can check later.

It's a bug, the mission should only be given to players with 'liked' or better standing with the station issuing mission.

The bug is that the mission is available at stations where it shouldn't be. It should only show up at UIT capitals but it also does at the TGP capital. The availability is defined a bit too broadly.

Odia m14 is a capital too btw..

A workaround would be to just take this mission at another capital. It doesn't really matter where the tree was started.

Actually the bug is that the trident was spawned with the wrong alignment. The issue has been noted elsewhere. With all the new PCC missions its becoming a lot more noticable. Hopefully it will get worked out soon.
