Windowed Mode Problems

Sep 08, 2009 TenaciousDogMan link
OS: Windows XP Pro.
Client: 1.8.89

Problem 1: I had my resolution set to 480x640 32bpp in Windowed Mode, and while trying to figure out what was going wrong[2] I tried going back to Full Screen Mode. This had an extremely unusual result. When I hit Apply the client went back into Full Screen Mode, however it also rotated the screen -90 degrees (using the mouse to reverse the changes was a challenge, you might want to consider adding a "Is this okay? Changes will revert in 15 seconds" confirmation to the video/graphics options).

So far I haven't been able to replicate the problem. I can't imagine how such a fault would occur, so I thought you may want to sniff around and make sure everything is shiney. It may be an issue with my second problem confusing Direct X.

Problem 2: A lot of the resolutions are reversed (height x width instead of width x height). I would have just called it quirky, however the only things that display correctly are centered objects (connecting, the EULA, options menu) that are smaller than the resolution. Everything else seems to run off the 'correct' resolution.
ie, if you set it to 400x640 the window will be 400x640 but the station page will be drawn at 640x400 then scaled up to 640 tall (resulting in most of the buttons and data on the left hand side of the screen being cut off).
