Ask it kindly to only quit when expected, and try again.
Or if you're feeling really adventurous, you could give us enough information to help you solve your problem. Start with the OS you use and the exact steps you take (from installation to crash) to reproduce the issue.
Also, if this happens on other games as well, then it probably isn't an issue with Vendetta.

When you start seeing this type thing from more than one application, it usually means that some system files have become corrupt.
If you run Windows, you could start by doing the repair process. I myself would consider rebuilding...I mean if it happens with a lot of games.

What operating system do you have? If it's OSX, what version of it?
Hmm. When it says it quit, is there a button to get more info about why it quit? If so, either post it here or submit a support ticket.
Happening to me too, I have a mac/windows intel mac, and i have it on BOTH sides and it wont work on either. Its mac osx Leopard, and XP home edition
How about deactivating your firewall?
Or... you could set firewall rules to enable VO to actually communicate with your computer.
From VO faq:
The Vendetta Updater, the auto-update program that executes prior to game startup, makes an outbound connection to TCP port 21024. Once updating has completed and the game itself is fired up, a connection is established upon login attempt to UDP port 21141. Thus, any modern firewall capable of "keeping state" on outbound TCP/UDP should require no alterations. Other firewalls and packet filter implementations may require specific configuration changes. Both the updater and game work fine through Network Address Translation.
