Mining missions disappear for days.

Mining mishunz! I liek dem!
ummm.. is it normal for you to only be able to do like 4 mining missions every couple days?
i do a few missions, then all mining missions disappear from ALL stations. some of them only pay like 50K. i would do these missions all the time if i could. it's hard enough to make money if you don't trade/pirate/escort without these things.
i can see maybe if you do all the missions at ONE station, then you can't do any more mining missions at that station for a coupla days seeing as their quota has been filled. but i would like to at least be able to move on to the next system or something.
if this is intentional, why?

I wrote them that way to avoid concerns of exploitation. I wasn't sure how trivial some of them would be, in some situations, so I delayed their re-posting by a few days. It was also my intention, at the time, to offset this by having more mining missions be available, but as of yet I haven't been able to add any more.
Making the missions time out only from a given station is not possible with the current framework, nor is it desirable within the context of exploitability that the "re-posting delay" was created to address. A better solution would be either to reduce the delay, increase the total number of different missions, or both.

Ok, I did this. It's in production now, but it'll be announced tonight with the rest of the release. I added three new mining missions, and dropped the replay times on all of them. Some are still a day, or up to 3 days (down from like 7), but some of them are only a couple of hours now.
Regardless of relative income generation, I don't really want to make them available constantly. I would rather have duplicate missions that pop up, so the mission text isn't always the same.. and it gives the impression of something more dynamic going on, rather than just the same mission over and over. Maybe add in some other factors, like time-limits for mining, etc.

and yeah! giving the idea of something more dynamic might be a good idea. there are already missions in-game that require that you either mine, or buy ore from players, but something similar might be interesting. if the missions are hard, GREAT, but if they're very difficult and don't pay well, people just won't do them... unless they give mad XP or something.
anyway. i have a few ideas for mining missions, so when i get them to more than a brain fart, i'll throw 'em in the suggestions forum.

Sure. Or you're welcome to join the PCC and write some yourself. Mining missions are pretty trivial to write.
