Are ship replacements really free? Can anyone confirm this behavior? I was killed a few times only to see the "purchase last ship" message, upon which it deducts a large sum from my account. Is this normal? The station I am homed at is where I signed onto the mission. Does the ship replacement only count for certain ships and setups?

If ship replacements aren't free that's fine I just want to know.

So no one can even comment on whether replacements should or shouldn't be free??

Sorry, kihjin. I was going to check on whether ship components are currently free, and, if not, whether we intended them to be, before replying. I haven't found that out yet, but, yes, ship replacements are supposed to be free during BS if: you're homed at a station that offers the mission, and you died in the mission sector.

Ship replacements are free, but the weapon replacements aren't.

I was stationed at Geira Rutulis O-4 where I signed onto mission, set home and proceeded to Deneb. I sploded a few times and respawned back at O-4 and was prompted to re-purchase my ship. This happened... oh... maybe three times? I haven't tried it since then, especially not since the update.

Now is it just the ship that is free, or the full replacement, add-ons included?
