im writing in regard to my update woes. i dont know why, but the updater runs at a snail's pace, it took me 2 days just to update the game to playable, and now this new 2.8meg patch is taking forever also! PLEASE i urge you to make the updates available for manual download, or atleast explain to me why im barely getting dial up speeds from your update server. otherwise the game is great and i get no noticeable lag ingame.

Well, do you have a dial-up connection?

Strange. If you're technically savvy, I can tell you how to get the updater to use secondary update server to see if that would help. Our updater can update from any version to the most recent version, so it is difficult to release just an update. We do need to release a new installer with the latest patches already added, but the only other option is to release an update that patches only from the previous version to the newest version. I think that would confuse people, though.

Must be something at your end boris. VO updates usually take a couple of minutes for me.

I know my school's traffic throttling make my updater go at around 3kb/s, so if you've got the same thing going against you boris, I doubt the secondary update server would make things go faster anyway.

Well, I know its been a while, and I hope you've solved it, but... Normally my updates are finished very quickly, so I doubt that its the update servers.
