logged on game plays good for 5 minutes then started to have severe frame rate drops which either appeared to be lag or something. the first time i was able to quit the second time my whole computer crashed.

its not a graphics thing cause I can play a lot of other 3d games on it, i used to run eve and it never overheated. unless the fan broke or something

Anyway, check your laptop fan AND the internet connection. Thosw are the two things that always give me trouble.

Peytros, if your computer is crashing, something is wrong with your computer. No application should be able to crash a modern system+OS.

The fact that "other games work" is irrelevant. They may not push your videocard quite as hard in quite the same ways.

I would try to look at what has changed recently on your system. Were some new OS updates installed? What did they do? Did you make any changes to game settings? Did it recently become warmer in the room where you're playing the game? An environmental change of a few degrees can be the difference between hardware working vs overheating.

You could try turning down the visual detail and see if that helps. Also, make sure you're playing full-screen, not in a window.

so i turned on the air conditioning and everything works great! thx incarnate for making my carbon footprint that much bigger to cause grief to newbs :P
