Since the release before current, VO defaulted to DX8.1, and any time I try to switch back to DX9, VO crashes and bugreport opens. I've submitted a few reports through it.

If you load the config.ini file located where you installed Vendetta Online, look for this line:
VideoDriver=DirectX8.1 GKGL driver
and change it to:
VideoDriver=DirectX9 GKGL driver

That switches it before even loading the game. If that doesn't work and you still end up in dx8.1 mode, then there's a problem with your video drivers.

It's running in DX9 now. Odd that it only crashes when switching from 8.1 to 9 in game.
