No Sound
I just started playing Vendetta, and I actually believed it didn't have sound at all until my girlfriend downloaded it and weaponsfire noises started flying out of her computer. I checked the in-game options and nothing appears to be muted or at minimal volume. Is there any particular reason my sound isn't working and a way to fix it?
I'm using Vista.

Sound card/driver?
SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC
Driver Version 6.10.0.5614

Anyone? This game isn't terribly playable without sound...
Do you have more than one audio driver option in the game audio options? If so, have tried selecting another one?
Yes, I have two options, but changing between the two yielded no result.
this may seem odd, but turn voice chat on then off, or try it with the opposite option to what ever it is set at now, someone reported a bug about that before. Voice chat is options>voicechat and then enable is a tick at the top of the box
No dice.
I would try reinstalling the game. Also make sure you have updated windows and the video/audio drivers. I have tried the game using windows vista and it did work after i changed the audio driver selection. I'm not sure what your problem is though.
If none of that works copy and paste the first section of your errors.log file here (everything before the chan text). It might help someone spot the exact error.

You can try changing to the wav sound driver in VO.
If that doesn't help, then (with the wav sound driver selected) exit the game and edit the config.ini file located in your Vendetta Online folder.
Look for [wavsound] and then add this line:
vista_mode=0
If there is no [wavsound] section, add it to the end of the file:
[wavsound]
vista_mode=0

I wonder if this got fixed...
