Tutorial still mandatory on 2nd, and 3rd characters.

It's a minor issue, but I'm reporting it. The message comes up upon making a new character that "since it's the first character made on this account..." even when that is untrue.

For example my first character now has a highest license of 7, since I made it two days ago. I made another character today, and the system didn't detect that I've already been through the tutorials.

That has been true for each and every one of the characters I've made, across multiple accounts (my main and several trials for testing purposes). I agree that it's a bug, and something that should be fixed, and I can't remember if I've reported it before. If I haven't, shame on me.

It may have been brought up before, I didn't really search for a topic on it before posting. It's so not a big deal, just one more thing for the long term list.

See I got this nag screen when I logged in, it asked me for a response on if I'd like to provide feedback on the forum. I figured since it's so insistent I'd provide some. :P

You can press escape, and untick "Run tutorial on next station dock" and the tutorial goes away. Sure I agree this box should untick itself if you already have a character that has completed the tutorials though, because if you really want or need to do the tutorial again, I'm sure some friendly player can tell you how to reactivate them...

I found this too, and thought it a little annoying. Thanks YoB for the post to explain how to get around this. It is something that could maybe be made automatic at some time as I think there are people out there who would find this sort of quirk enough to go elsewhere for their gameplay.

"several trials for testing purposes"

You needed several trials? Sounds like you're trying to get something for nothing. Just pay the money. For crying out loud, it's 10 measly bucks. Skip Starbucks a couple times a month and you're there.

What are you trying to test? The patience of the devs about how much free timke they give away? This is one reason why the Tutorial should be absolutely mandatory for the first character on every account, and maybe for every character.

I've known diqrtvpe for a while, and I don't think he's the type of person to exploit the system by creating a lot of trials to avoid paying for the game.

Heh, the stuff I was (and still occasionally am) testing was changes to the interface code involving groups (making a plugin). So I needed to be in control of at least two group members at once, so I could see the debug code I was sending. I understand your reaction, but there are reasonably legitimate reasons why people might want to have a trial account and not pay an extra $10/month for 20 minutes of code testing.

Oh, and I occasionally also use a couple trial accounts to reply in-context on the message boards, though I haven't for some time. (and thanks for the vote of confidence, slime :))

Back on topic, that's good to know, yoda! I'll keep it in mind in the future!

Hey I'm really sorry... I see now I mid-read your post. Didn't catch what you meant by a regular account. My bad.

Will try to read a little more closely.
