Once again it locked up and I can't login. It just sits there laoding but nothing ever happens. This happens over and over again.

Try disabling your security software and running Vendetta again. Your firewall, if you have one, may be blocking Vendetta. If it works, you will need to manually allow your firewall to allow Vendetta to run.

It's not a security, I've seen it happen before, I guess the server just has to be reset. a1 did something to fix it when it happense but i don't know what it is.

I've also seen it happen with a firewall. Try shutting down your security software temporarily and see if you get in.

I have the same problem (can't login) but I don't see anything in the logs of my firewall. Which ports does Vendetta use?

I've opened 21141 for server majikthise.guildsoftware.com. (204.29.203.105) but to no avail.

Even shutting down my firewall completely didn't help (I could ping your server, though).

The FAQ has the info about which port(s) vendetta uses.

Well, the ports mentioned in the FAQ (21024/tcp and 21124/udp) work for me (the update of the game works and I can see that the UDP packets leave).

Err, Philmannn: Elsewhere you said you were getting a "login incorrect" message. This would be a separate issue from the firewall (which can't be the problem if it persists after you've disabled it).

With the firewall down: try making a new account, making careful note of all caps and special characters in the login and password you select. See if that works.

I thought the issue I reported in the other thread might be related to this one but it isn't. I still get "Login incorrect" almost immediately after I click on "Connect".

As for create a new account: Why can I login to the website? If my account name or password were wrong, I wouldn't get in here, right? But I can post so I must be logged in with a valid login. Why doesn't the very same login work in the game login??

Well, I created now a second account "PDark" and this one works. I guess that with my former account, the account data and/or password were not correctly transferred to the game server.

You can delete this account, now, I won't use it again.

Hmm, that's odd. Did you happen to use the same password? I would like to compare the two accounts to see what's different.

I'm still getting the stuck char. login. I can log onto different characters but not my [IJL]Garfield char. It just stays at loading char. or whatever. When i was playing i noticed that one of my rocket launchers was missing when i had 4, only 3 would show up. I logged off and when i logged back on it got stuck.

I can´t login either. Tried with and without firewall (shouldn´t matter if it´s running or not), but it just won´t work. I can however login to the website.

raybondo: No, the passwords are different.

But I found another bug: When I changed my password via this website, then the game wouldn't let me in with the new one (tried 10 Seconds after changing the password). The game server was still using the *old* password.

My suggestion would be to compare the accounts on the website and the game server and check if they are different. Maybe the login was created on the website but not in the game server?

Update: Even after half an hour, my new password hasn't made it to the game server. So my guess is that the update of the password is broken.

I am having the same problem. I just created a new character, the password doesn't work. Changed the password on the website, neither passwords work. "LOGIN INCORRECT"

I gather from the News section that database replication was fouled up between the office and game server during the ISP change. It looks as if everything else got synched back up, but perhaps the password/ account database is still stuck.

Now my calvin Char. is stuck, can the devs just reset my char? It has been down for almost a month.
