Crash to desktop
I've had my client just disappear for no apparent reason twice now. I'll be in the middle of doing something (last time was adjusting the audio volume) and then *poof*, I'm looking at the desktop, with no error message or anything to indicate what went wrong...
What OS was this in? What video card do you have?
im having the same problem i played last night for several hours and it was fine i think there is an incompability with the patch i hope not but it seems that way
as soon as i go into space crashed to desktop for me

I just had this problem, I was fixing to add another of my clever comments to 100 and VO just dissappeared. Using Ubuntu 9.04 and a Nvidia 9400 here. I was thinking it was due to the last update till I saw this thread.
Some people, who reported similar problems on 100, had AMD dual core CPU. They were still able to play on a single core PCs. Possible multi threading bug introduced with the new radar?
I have Linux based system on a four core Intel CPU and I am fine so far.

Is this with 64bit or 32bit version of the linux client?
Me? 64 bit, of course. All VO settings maxed, client is stable.
64 bit in my case as well
I've been have the same issue, usually once or twice a night, using 32bit version on OpenSUSE 11.1
endercp12, it just exits without a bug reporter window opening up?
When that happens, can you check the errors.log file that VO generates and see if there's a stack dump at the end of it?

no bug reporter, and the errors.log doesnt show anything Client literally stops, seems to happen most often upon Launch from station
FYI I am getting crashes whenever I switch between full and window mode. Suse 11.1 - 64 bit dual core. Not going to bother worrying about - Just thought it might be related. No bug reporter pops up.
