Some clients are showing game year, some are showing real year.
Like the title says, a guy asked me how he could get the game year, so I told him to type /time - he got a bit snotty with me and called me names :/ Seems his client was showing him 2008, and he thought I was, I quote "It shows 2008. Thought you were just effing with me or something."
Does not seem to be an OS specific problem, I run in both Linux, and XP, and both my clients display the game year, 4436, Da Gu, a Linux user, says he gets 2008, cryoLock, the dude who though I was "effing" with him runs XP, and says he gets 2008. John Eldritch reported the same as me, the game year shows with /time
Not really important I know, but is there a reason for this inconsistancy? Just a FYI, I was plug in free, Da Gu was running only an old copy of targetls, and I dunno about the others.

Looking at the code, the /time function shows real-GMT time, not in-game time.
The gkmisc.date() lua function shows the in-game date.

/time shows GMT, but with the year modified to be the game year, at least in my case, and at least 20 others, but not for some. Here is the result of /time for me -->
I've got targetless and TCP, and I get the ingame year, currently... 4436
TCS is the culprit, it overwrites the /time command.
Yeah, my fault. In fact, it states that in the TCS/Clock helpfile along with a light insult.
(I'm not going to change it)
Edit: I have no idea how you were plugin-free when that happened, and in fact in that screenshot is TCS/Clock's default /time readout. The game by default shows GMT now-time.
