Audio becomes choppy with voice chat enabled

Jun 12, 2008 ThinkHen link
1.5 GHz PowerPC G4 Powerbook running 10.4.11

As soon as I enabled voice chat, the sound effects became extremely choppy. I'm pretty sure voice chat messages come through clear, but the game is practically unplayable with the sound effects screwing up. It doesn't stop when I toggle voice chat off either. I have to manually go into the config.ini and delete the items that were added.

Try just removing
enablevoicechat=1

or set it to 0 before you run VO.
