Hi all

There seems to be a problem with NVidia cards and the screen resolution 1280x1024. When I choose this res, parts of the right side of the screen are cut off. I'd really like to play in this res because I use a flat screen and lower res look crappy :( . I already changed the driver to Dx9 and 8, the same thing. When I use the OGL Ref Driver, the game crashes when I change res to 1280x1024. Multiple players seem to have the same problem (except the crash).

I couldn't find a topic reporting the same bug via the search function.

What NVidia card are you using? I'm using a crap FX6200 with 256MB VRAM, and I play at 1280x1024 (like you, because its my LCD's native res) - I cannot switch between Direct X modes - or the game crashes, but I can play fine at that resolution with no screen missing.

What NVidia drivers are you using? I'm using a beta driver (ForceWare 175.16), if you are using drivers that came with your card, they may need updating to the latest stable drivers. (ForceWare 169.21, at the time of this post)

Hi and Thanks for the quick reply! I am using driver version 6.14.0011.6921 to be overexact :) . This driver is a two or three weeks old top! So this can't be the problem. I am using a 7900GTX 512MB RAM.

Hi im getting the same problem after the update but only on my station menu screen when im flying its fine.
But the resolution im using is 1024x768 on a NVidia Geforce 6800 XT
on Windows XP Home service pack 2.
The driver im using is 6.14.11.7516 dated 02/05/2008 which i updated from NVidia website after the update as i thought it was a drivers problem.Its not much of a big problem as i can access everything just cuts off half the menu buttons on the right hand side.If you want a screenshot or any other info just let me know

yoda, your client crashes when changing resolutions? How about when you type /lua ReloadInterface() in the console? The crash may be coming from a VO plugin if you are using any.

Right here's some screen shots,also im using on of spidey's skins but tried it without to see if it was that but still no luck

Can you try it without any plugins at all and see if that helps?
Then try using one plugin at a time to see when the problem reappears (if it disappeared with no plugins).

Unfortunately there's currently no way to enable/disable plugins through VO interface.

Yeah that helped and Moda went throught stuff with me but dont know which plugin it was as put all the ones i had back on one by one and it was fixed so it was diffently a plugin error, sorry i cannot be of any more help.But thanks for the advice Ray much appreciated :)

Lowering the font scaling should fix it too.
