I finished both a orun processor core and a advance combat drone mission but the only way I could see new missions was to undock and redock. The station was not updating? However I finished a scrap metal mission and the station updated right away.

This has been around for some time.
If a mission finishes before docking all available missions are displayed when you dock .
If the mission finishes when you enter the station ( anything involving a delivery of items ), or after you dock ( such as the player docking ahead of a convoy ), then the mission list will only update by redocking, or by manually reloading the interface.

I suppose the ending of a mission should force the reload, though the exact mechanics of that are beyond me.

Ending a mission *does* force the reload, but it doesn't work under some circumstances which we haven't figured out.

thi happens to me multiple times and the only way to fix it is to leave the sector or relog

yes, I have an auto repair/reload plugin.

Thanks to Moda and the devs investigating things this bug now seems to be fixed.

Ah , the joys of having a wee dram in the station bar whilst one's convoy catches up...
