HS Bug
Howdy guys, going to try to include as much info as i can to help sort this out.
About half the time (I haven't been able to make it happen reliably yet), after I take the HS Mission, I'll warp to the sector and theres nothing going on. No enemies are there. The group that you get automatically added to when you start the mission is there, but all the n.p.c.'s are mining. There are absolutely no hive ships in the sector, regardless of where I fly or how far i search. None of the sensor logs indicate anything about a hive presence either.
A couple times after taking the mission I have gotten to the sector and within seconds the mission is over (all the hive are destroyed as i warp in).
So I thought maybe the mission was being completed by whatever npc ships were in the sector already, and in the time I take to go from the station to the warp point the mission is completed so I don't get credit. But the NPC counter that pops up on the HUD is still there and still shows a positive number of ships for both sides.
I don't know if maybe the hive are in transit? But the mission log says that the fight is in progress, so that wouldn't make any sense, and I have stayed in the sector for a considerable amount of time and nothing has spawned.
Most of my HS missions have been in the same sector as I receive them in, in an effort to get there as quickly as possible to test my first theory.
I have taken multiple levels of HS missions from small, common, large, and critical and its still pretty much a crap shoot as to whether or not I'll be able to get credit.
I keep having to abort the mission and get a new one :*(.
Also on a possibly unrelated side note I have noticed that (as a UIT) when I'm in Itani space doing a HS or combat practice mission sometimes I'll run into a green (friendly) named npc which for no apparent reason wants to kill me, and usually does a pretty good job of it as I am not ready for them. I have positive faction with itani (300ish) and to my knowledge haven't killed any of their ships(maybe I fell asleep with my blasters on?! =P )
