I bet he just smacked into a station and his hull decied to go null. I've had my vulture hull goto -5000 and shoot back up to +200. Yah. The game has... "Issues" counting.

yeah...I hit the frigate in 3.2.5 with a prom and kinds got
-55555% hull before it shot back up to 180% and then down to -17% and then I exploded....
