Pulsing Light Effects (and system hangs)
Not sure if this is a client bug or what, but when I'm running at native resolution (1680x1050) with the full scene glow effect turned on, all of the lit areas appear to pulse if you're moving. At high speed, it's hardly noticeable, but when you slow down it becomes apparent. It's as if you're looking at it through some kind of fine angular holographic filter, with moving bands of lighting on/off.

Also, on a related note, stepping up my video settings in the game from 800x600 to 1680x1050 caused VO to hang and lock up my system... twice. I ifnally managed to make the adjustment by going incrementally from 800x600 32-bit to 1680x1050 16-bit to 1680x1050 32-bit.

That's 'cuz the glow effect is rendered to a 128x128 texture which is being stretched to fill your screen and you're seeing bilinear filtering artifacts. So it isn't really a bug, just a feature that looks kinda bad sometimes.
umm, I'm using Trilinear... but anyway, is there a way to fix this or no?
There sure is! But you won't like the answer (this is presuming you're still using that gateway piece of shite)
Read my first post, Yoda. Does it look like I'm still using it?
I built this rig with $2500 in components, so rendering is not an issue.

I want to add an option for glow rendering quality to increase the texture size for people with beefy systems.
As for the locking up, I'm afraid it's the drivers fault since you can increase the resolution incrementally.

Yes, such an option would definitely be appreciated...
and don't forget the option to disable swarm trails for people with non-beefy systems.

Read the news Cunjo, they're redoing the swarm trails...
