Serios Text problem with Mach64 driver (linux)
As i've posted earlier, i have huge problems with a Rage LT Pro card. It's running vendetta fine, but as said, the text disappears when it either hits the game or docking menus. What i'm looking for could be some X ati options or so? =(
Does anyone have a list of ati/mach64 x options?

I did a lot of reading and it's true: the Linux ATI Mach64 driver (and most other ATI products) is not configurable at the driver level beyond setting the resolution and refresh rates.
Any further options have to come from other software that follows video standards (as games do).
You can thank ATI for this. First they lost the video standards war, then they never figured out how to do hw FSAA, now they refuse to release the needed information to the Linux community to build a real ATI driver while at the same time refusing to write one themselves.
The driver you do have (atyfb) is nothing but a generic frame buffer controller that has been tweaked to work with ATI's instruction set.
Wish I had better news for you.

Okey, this is weird - today my pal comes by and plays around with he's computer... All the sudden he said "hey, got the text here - in vendetta!!!" It seems to be one of the "change an option, and then back change it back" bugs with the background detail. I have it too on my Gf MX200, but don't loose text though (background is white). As it wasn't me who got it working (and he couln't tell me exactly what he changed =), it's a little hard to tell if it's the only thing that was wrong =( sry...
(btw: Thnks for trying =)
