the version number keeps being the same but it always downloads something...

You sure it's not just checking the files? This update added a progress bar for that to the Mac version I think.

that would solve this mystery so hmm could it get some decriptive text to differ this check from a update please?

"checking version -> ok done let's play"
and updating client something like that i mean the text in the bar is pretty fast gone to fast to read.

all i read is "update complete" when done and i think -> what, again an update?

what about "client verification done" or something like that...

While the progress bar is running it says: Version is current; verifying files.
