This happened just a few minutes ago in Odia J-9. I put 6 under the number of items to buy and got an "error giving item" message. However, when I tried to buy the mining beams individually it worked fine.

The maximum number of addons you can buy is 5. I see no reason why the number can't be increased now that addons stack, however.

Funny, I said the exact same thing earlier this week, and the next release will allow you to buy more.

There was some brief discussion where Ray recalled somebody buying 100000 of something, bankrupting him, and the limits were put in as a safeguard or something. Seems kind of odd though.

There's no limit. It just asks for verification above 200 in case someone types in too many zeros.

There will be station storage limits soon(tm) and that will place a limit on the number you can buy.
