Lightning Mines

This might be a repeat bug post, but PLEASE fix lightning mines so they activate the Strike Force in no-fire zones around stations.

That's a "feature". It's been around for years.

they also cause huge fps drop for some folk .....

Yeah, basically, when some people get shot it causes a small stutter in their fps. Usually this is too small to notice but since lightning mines do constant damage it effectively incapacitates them.

yea im basically stopped dead when im hit by an lmine, though its only my display so i can usually straf away from the mine blindfolded.

thing is, when lmining a station, the intention is to get lawneuts, not harm others. well that is the reason i do it ocassionally.

normally i pick one entrance lmine it get at distance switch to desktop and later collect what is floating around there.
when i have enough time i figured that lmining all entries raises the spawn so shorter time -> more laws.

normally you can do this for hours and don't even see an other player in odia m-14. it seems to be diffrent on sundays.

well the law neut is the best weapon in the game, no wonder lots of people farm them.

The problem is that NPCs aren't really aware of lightning mine attacks, due to some inherent difference in the way they are handled; so they don't respond they way they do to other attacks, and none of the normal escalations (strike forces, etc) result. Andy has notes on fixing it. Sorry for the persistence of the problem, we'll try and get it sorted this week if at all possible."
