I couple of times in the last week I've been mining ore from asteroids, and had a negative bonus to my mining license.

I'll get messages like:
Mining +11
Mining -6
Mining +11
Mining +6

This is when mining an asteroid with standard ores like Ferric and Silicate, so no idea where the +11's came from either. The above example was about 1930 GMT last night.

Hmm. That must be a glitch in the client because there's no place in the log files are you given -6 or +11.
5 + 6 = 11 though, so I'm guessing that the client is merging and undoing something. I'll look into it.

The first one was entirely Ferric/Carbonic, with no sign of anything that would give +10.

Yeah, it's the client's fault. It receives the new values out of order and doesn't disregard the earlier one if it comes later.
I will make the client not show negative numbers, but it will still show stuff like +11 because the increases happened really close together in time.

This has always been the case with the better beams . The client mines faster than the server updates , but it all seems to work out in the wash .......
